"Machado" is a documentary exploring the relationships within the maternal side of the director's family and their turbulent connections with art, addictions, and madness. The family consists of artists, mostly actors. They have tirelessly worked on stages and sets for decades, from the most obscure and marginal venues to the most commercial ones. Famous during the 90s, they now survive as much as they can, clinging to the fantasy of past glories.
